SONORA, Calif. — Authorities are investigating after a body was found in a remote area of Tuolumne County over the weekend.
Deputies first received information about a body found between Jamestown and Sonora, late on Friday. Investigators located the body, only identified as a man, early Saturday morning in a wooded area south of the Gibbs Communication Tower.
So far, investigators have not determined a cause of death nor have they revealed in what condition they found the victim.
The case remains under investigation.
