FAIR OAKS, Calif. — One person is dead after an apartment fire in Fair Oaks, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said Tuesday.
The fire happened along Primrose Drive near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard. The fire district said it got a call after a carbon monoxide alarm went off.
When fire crews arrived, they found a fire next door. A spokesperson for the fire district said crews pulled a man out. The man later died.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
