SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento County Coroner identified the victim of a fatal hit and run collision on 46th Street and Folsom Boulevard as 29-year-old Niema Cameron on Saturday.
The collision occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, but her body was not found until after 6:30 a.m.
According to Sacramento police, a passing driver saw Cameron's body in the road. When officers arrived at the scene there was no suspect or car to be found.
Though there was no car, officers reported that Cameron's injuries were consistent with being hit by a car.
Folsom Boulevard was closed until 5:30 p.m. Friday while Sacramento police conducted the investigation.
The suspect in the hit and run is still at large.
