Scattered showers and possible thunderstorms are possible around Lake Tahoe and the Sierra foothills through the weekend.
Any thunderstorms that develop can create brief downpours, gusty winds and/or small-sized hail. If you have outdoor plans, stay inside during thunderstorms and don't return back outside until 30 minutes after the last clap of thunder.
There will be even warmer temperatures in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys next week.
Tuesday looks to be the hottest day of the year, so far, with a forecast high temperature of 94 degrees.
