ELK GROVE, Calif — An Elk Grove teenager shared a video of a man going on a racist rant as she sat in her car waiting on her little brother.
Ana Jaira Solis said she took her brother to Laguna Community Park in Elk Grove to play soccer May 24. She was waiting in her car when a man walked up and asked if she was his Uber ride.
Solis said she told him she was not his Uber driver. The man then started asking where she was going. She responded and said home.
"This is when he started to say racial things like questioning if I was a U.S. citizen and saying he was going to call the police and ICE and telling me that I needed to leave because I was taking a U.S. citizen's parking spot," Solis said.
The man can be heard on the video telling Solis, "You don't live in Elk Grove. You barely speak English. You park your car here again and I'm going to report you to the [expletive] ICE. You don't belong here."
Solis repeatedly asked the man to leave her alone. She then called the police on the man.
Elk Grove Police responded, but the man was already gone by time they arrived, according to Solis.
Following the incident, she posted the video of the encounter on her Twitter page with the caption, "Twitter do your thing and help find him."
Police have been in communication with Solis and her family. They said the man did not commit any crime.
