LODI, Calif. — A man is behind bars after Lodi police made an arrest in a Dec. 8 homicide.
Lodi Police Department identified the suspect as Frank Avila, 25 of Lodi. Police said he was arrested in Galt after he allegedly broke into a home along the 600 block of Sugarwood Court. He was booked on suspicion of homicide and charges related to the break-in.
The deadly shooting left one person dead at Holz Rubber in Lodi on Dec. 8. According to Lodi police, the shooting appears to have been targeted.
Police said Avila came to the business on South Sacramento Street, fired shots and ran away. The relationship between the shooter and victim isn't clear at this time.
