AUBURN, Calif. — Update:

The Placer County Sheriff's Office has a suspect in custody Sunday morning after they lead deputies on a chase between Sacramento and Placer counties on Saturday, Nov. 21.

Placer County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a suspect in Auburn for allegedly stealing a car in Grass Valley.

Sheriff's officials said deputies are searching Chinquapin Way and Dairy Road for the suspect.

The suspect ran away on foot after leading deputies and California Highway Patrol officers on a chase between Sacramento and Placer counties.
