The Trailhead Fire remains at 5,515 acres as of Thursday and is 85 percent containment.
More than 1,900 firefighters began battling the Trailhead Fire last Tuesday, June 28, which spans Placer and El Dorado counties.
The fire has prompted mandatory evacuations for residents south of Foresthill. and in the following areas;
- Mameluke Hill Road, east from Canyon Creek to Bottle Hill
- Bottle Hill Rd., east from the intersection of Cement Hill Rd.
- Roanoak
- Bear Flat
- Bear Flat South
- Bottle HI
- Antwine
- Jinnor
- Kelliher, south of Otter Creek
- North and South Hyder
- Miners Delight
- Air Sharft
- Little Miner
- Breedlove Rd. north of Canyon Creek
- La Cresta Drive
- Strawn, Mining Claim
- Paymaster Loop
- Otter Creek Rd. south of Otter Creek
- Four Wheeler Dr.
- Earthsong Lane
- Slow Go Rd.
- Bottle Hill Bypass
- Rowdy Rd.
- Stag Lane
- Dru Barner north of Wentworth Springs Rd.

Cal Fire said the fire started at around 3:30 p.m. on Trailhead Lane. Air and ground crews from Cal Fire are working to put out the blaze.

While planes were dropping retardant over the flames, a personal drone forced all aircraft to momentarily land, stopping firefighting efforts.
Those efforts were back in effect by 8:30 Tuesday night.
"It's extremely frustrating because we know it may take only one more drop you know to tie in two lines together," Daniel Berlant, Public information officer for Cal Fire, said. "Every drop is critical. Every minute we have those aircrafts it's critical and so to lose them for 15 to 20 minutes, it has the ability to let the fire do to much damage.
It is unknown how the fire started.
