ANTELOPE, Calif. — A large fight caused a basketball game at Antelope High School to be canceled Tuesday evening.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, the fight was reported around 8:20 p.m. It involved about 15 to 20 people, either students or spectators. Sgt. Amar Gandhi, spokesperson for the sheriff's office, said it didn't appear to involve any of the players.
It's not clear what led up to the fight, but they were no arrests, injuries or any reports of weapons.
Antelope High was going up against Center High School when the game was canceled in the third quarter.
Gandhi said fight happened inside the arena and the fight started and ended in the stands.
The sheriff's office said deputies are standing by on scene to make sure things continue smoothly.
