Fourth of July festivities in Davis | Need to know

The City of Davis is observing the Fourth of July with a fireworks show and a Central Valley Vintage Base Ball game using rules from 1865!

DAVIS, Calif. —

The city of Davis is celebrating the Fourth of July with a fireworks show on Thursday. You will be able to watch the show in the community pool if you purchase your ticket before they run out.

Discovery Christian Church is hosting the third annual Family Fun Field with free games and activities beginning at 4 p.m. Admissions end at 8 p.m.

Davis will also host the Central Valley Vintage Base Ball game, which is an organization that plays baseball with 1865 rules (hence why the spelling of baseball is with two words). The Oleta Club of Davisville will play against the Sacramento Base Ball Club at 4:30 p.m.
