Sacramento police are still looking for two suspects they say are armed and dangerous.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — One man is dead and two other people are injured after a shooting at a Sacramento light rail station Thursday afternoon.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, it happened around 3:15 p.m. at the University and 65th Street station.

Sacramento Police Public Information Officer Anthony Gamble says officers found one man with a gunshot wound who died from his injuries at the scene. At least two other people were shot and taken to the hospital.

Police are now looking for two suspects who should be considered ‘armed and dangerous,’ both are men. One is wearing a black hoodie with blue jeans and the other is wearing a gray hoodie with black jeans.

Police are also investigating a carjacking but are unable to confirm if it’s related to the shooting. The Sacramento State Police Department says it's helping Sacramento police.

The University/65th Street Station reopened Friday morning and light rail service has resumed on the Gold Line between 29th Street and Butterfield stations. There is a planned construction bus bridge in place between Butterfield and Cordova Town Center stations on Friday.

Riders should check the Alert SacRT app for updates or call 916-321-2877.
