FOLSOM, Calif. — A woman has died after being found in a house fire in Folsom early Friday morning.
The Folsom Fire Department says crews were alerted of a fire on Briarcliff Drive around 2:08 a.m. Crews were able to extinguish the fire before flames spread from the house.
A woman was found inside the home. Officials say she was taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Officials say a firefighter injured their knee while dealing with the fire.
