Man found dead in Lincoln after dispute between neighbors identified by police

Lincoln Police Department officers responded to a home along Earlton Lane where they found one man dead. His neighbor was taken into custody at the scene.

LINCOLN, Calif. — Lincoln police have identified the man found dead after a dispute between neighbors Tuesday night.

Jonathan Michael Williams, 34, was found dead by officers just before 9 p.m. in a home along Earlton Lane, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Law enforcement said there was an altercation between Williams and his neighbor, 50-year-old Emmanuel Mbaya Lasu, prior to his death.

Lasu was taken into custody at the scene and booked into Placer County Jail, police said. He faces one felony murder charge and is ineligible for bail, jail records show.
