SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man is now in custody after a fist fight at a South Sacramento apartment complex left another man dead Sunday.
According to a news release, 29-year-old Arlando Arnold was arrested Monday and booked on suspicion of voluntary manslaughter. Those charges are in connection with an alleged assault Sunday on Sky Parkway.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the apartment complex around 5:20 p.m. for a fight where a man was knocked out.
Upon arrival deputies found the man unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office has not yet released what led up to the fight – just that the fatality appears to be the result of a hand-to-hand fight.
