Man, dog ejected from vehicle after Manteca rollover crash

Police say the driver was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

MANTECA, Calif. — A man is injured and a dog is missing after they were ejected from a car following a single-vehicle crash in Manteca Thanksgiving morning. 

The Manteca Police Department said the crash happened after 11 a.m. on the 1300 block of W. Louise Avenue. 

Police said a Ford truck left the roadway and collided with several trees and a water main before it rolled over. The 24-year-old driver and a dog were ejected from the vehicle, police said.

Police said the man was unconscious but breathing. He was taken to a hospital in serious condition. The dog ran away after the crash and has not been found, police said. 

Roads near W. Louise Avenue and Union Road were closed for several hours while officers investigated the crash.
