A man died at a Modesto hospital Saturday morning after an altercation with Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputies, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department.
At approximately 10:30 a.m., two sheriff’s deputies were in the parking lot of Country Girl Truck Stop in Modesto after 38-year-old Alejandro Sanchez flagged them down and said something was wrong with his truck. During the investigation, deputies learned the vehicle was not registered.

Officials said Sanchez died shortly after despite receiving emergency medical care.
The specific details of the altercation between Sanchez and the deputies are not being released as the investigation continues, the sheriff’s department said.
