SacRT partners with SPCA for fare-free 2018 Holiday Bus

In keeping with the season of giving, this year's colorful 40-foot SacRT Holiday Bus is free to ride, but passengers have the option to donate — cash or check — to the fare box. This year, all donations will benefit the Sacramento SPCA.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento Regional Transit District and the Sacramento Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals are unveiling this year's SacRT Holiday Bus on Friday.

In keeping with the season of giving, this year’s colorful 40-foot SacRT Holiday Bus is free to ride, but passengers have the option to donate — cash or check — to the fare box. This year, all donations will benefit the Sacramento SPCA.

The SacRT Holiday Bus travels on different routes throughout the Sacramento region spreading goodwill from the first of December to the start of the New Year. The bus' first routes will be Route 51 on Saturday and Route 1 on Sunday. (View the Holiday Bus schedule here.)

The special unveiling ceremony is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.at the Sacramento SPCA.

SacRT officials invite everyone to take a ride on the Holiday Bus with a wrap featuring a sleigh full of kittens and puppies, meet adoptable pets, enjoy hot chocolate and shelter tours, as well as speak with supporters donating supplies for dogs.
