Person killed in Stockton shooting after argument

The sheriff's office said the shooting happened after an argument.

STOCKTON, Calif. — A person was killed Friday in a shooting in Stockton, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.

The shooting happened around 4 a.m. along Cherokee Road near Robindale Avenue. The sheriff's office said the shooting happened after an argument. A person was shot and taken to a hospital where they later died. 

The sheriff's office is investigating the shooting. The person's identity hasn't been released and there is no information about a potential shooter.
