STOCKTON, Calif. — 2:05 p.m. update:
The city of Stockton reports that a power outage connected to the fire has caused it to close many of its downtown offices including city hall and the Chavez Library. The offices are expected to re-open Wednesday.
Other closures:
- Libraries: Chavez Central Library, Weston Ranch Library, Stribley Community Center and Micro Library, and Van Buskirk Community Center
- Stockton Courthouse
- Downtown Transit Center

Firefighters in Stockton started their Tuesday on the scene of a massive fire at a pallet company in the city.
The fire broke out around 3 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, at 235 West Scotts Ave., near Interstate 5. It is unknown at this time if there was anyone inside the warehouse or if there were any injuries. The fire began as a four-alarm, then grew to five before before called a general alarm fire.
ABC7 in the Bay Area is reporting that this fire can be seen for miles, with several streets in the area closed.
Roughly 15,600 people in the area are without power, due to the fire. PG&E is estimating power should be restored later this morning.
Monday's three-alarm fire was at the Port of Stockton is two miles east of the port, near I-5.
