Home damaged in Stockton fire

Crews brought the fire under control within 45 minutes, firefighters said.

STOCKTON, Calif. — Firefighters in Stockton extinguished a two-alarm fire that damaged a home Sunday. 

According to a battalion chief with the Stockton Fire Department, the fire broke out inside a home on Rose Street near Yosemite Street around noon Sunday.

The fire mainly damaged the back side of the home, but flames were also exposed to neighboring fences and at least one garage.

Fire officials upgraded the blaze to two alarms, using the resources of 26 firefighters to bring it under control within 45 minutes, firefighters said. 

No injuries were reported during the fire and its cause is under investigation.
