Construction on Roseville Parkway Extension project nearly complete

The project has been anticipated for a long time due to the continued population growth in Roseville.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — The Roseville Parkway Extension project will be completed in early 2025, and will allow a more convenient route in and out of town.

The project has been anticipated for a long time due to the continued population growth in Roseville.

Engineers and the environmental study phase started in 2020 and continued through 2022. A virtual open house for the project happened from July 23-Aug. 6, 2020. The construction began in October 2023 and is currently underway.

Funding for the project was estimated to cost about $24.5 million and was funded by developer-paid Traffic Mitigation Fees. According to the City of Roseville, the money did not come from Measure B or the City General Fund.

The Roseville Parkway Extension project will open to the public in early 2025. It will feature a bridge over Industrial Avenue, also known as the Union Pacific railroads, creating an extension between Washington and the west of Foothills Boulevard.

Amazon Warehouse, Restaurant Depot, FedEx Ground and Roseville Self Storage are all surrounding businesses near the project. Once the project is complete, Roseville RV Storage, Kodiak Roofing & Waterproofing, Daikin Comfort and Precision for Collision will extend Roseville Parkway.

The project will include a four-lane roadway with two lanes in both directions, a sidewalk, a Class II bike lane — usually 5-6 inches wide — and a multi-use path.
