CALIFORNIA, USA — A Turlock man died in a crash in Stanislaus County Wednesday, according to California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. along Albers Road, south of Milnes Road. Two people were in a truck heading southbound on Albers Road when the driver swerved off the road and onto the west shoulder. The truck hit a dirt embankment and turned over.
The driver died at the scene and the passenger was taken to a hospital with major injuries, but CHP said they aren't life-threatening. The names of the people weren't released, but the driver was described as a 27-year-old man from Turlock, and the passenger was described as a 34-year-old woman from Turlock.
CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
