CHP 911 lines down in Chico after 5.4 magnitude earthquake

The earthquake in Plumas County disrupted California Highway Patrol Chico Dispatch's 911 lines, according to CHP officials.

CHICO, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol (CHP) Chico Dispatch 911 lines are down after a 5.4 magnitude earthquake rocked Northern California Thursday afternoon.

Officials with CHP announced around 4:40 p.m. that the earthquake caused their cell phone 911 lines to be disrupted.

The issue is in the process of being resolved, according to CHP Yuba-Sutter.
