The U.S. Border Patrol sometimes apprehends hundreds of people at a time who have crossed from Mexico into Texas. In the Rio Grande Valley Sector alone, they average 1,000 captures per day, more than any area in the nation. Lilia Luciano travels to the U.S. and Mexico border to see how agents handle the sick, exhausted migrants who risk everything they have--including their lives and the lives of their children—for the opportunity to be safe, prosperous, and free in the U.S.
