The Ceres Police Department says they got a call Jan. 31 to the 1600 block of Richland Avenue where they found a small brown female French Bulldog with "obvious signs of malnourishment and neglect."

The dog was losing fur, had open sores and obvious signs of starvation and dehydration. Stanislaus County Animal Services took in the dog and expects it to make a full recovery in their care. Another dog was also taken from the duo.
