SACRAMENTO, Calif — An inmate is in the hospital after being attacked by three other inmates at the Sacramento County Main Jail.
A spokesperson for the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said the man was stabbed five to six times by a group of inmates around 2 p.m., during recreation time on 5-East.
The inmate was taken to a hospital, but he is expected to survive.
The other three inmates were detained and isolated without further incident.
Official said the inmates will be identified after they've been charged.
