Papa Roach to perform acoustic set at Sacramento's Concerts in the Park

Here's what you need to know if you're planning on going to Friday night's free show.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Vacaville’s own Papa Roach will be in Sacramento Friday for the latest installment of Concerts in the Park.

Though the group wasn’t initially on the lineup released earlier this year, band members Jacoby Shaddix and Jerry Horton will now do a special acoustic set.

Other performers include MVSSIE, Coma Phase and MRS.

Concerts in the Park is a free music festival at Sacramento’s César Chávez Park on I Street. Shows happen every Friday from May to July and showcase national artists and local musicians.

There are multiple ways to get there including bike, scooter, SacRT or walking. If you choose to drive, there are garages at 10th and I and 8th and J. You can reserve parking ahead of time at reserve.sacpark.org

Gates open at 5 p.m. Once the park reaches maximum capacity, you have to wait for people to leave before you can enter.

You can bring an empty plastic bottle to fill with water inside, sealed nonalcoholic beverages in plastic bottles, small coolers and food. Small chairs and blankets are allowed but due to the expected crowd size, they may get in the way.

You can't bring pets that aren’t service animals, alcohol or drugs, weapons or pepper sprays, drones, flyers or posters larger than 11x17.

Getting alcohol there? You get a wristband by showing your ID at the entrance. You get drink tokens at the cashier tent with cash or card.

And if you're planning on going, prepare for the heat! It will be near 110° Friday afternoon and a little delta breeze is expected. It will still be around 100° at 8 p.m. which makes it more manageable without the direct sunlight but it'll be warm nonetheless.
