SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California State Fair makes its return to Cal Expo for 2019 as it begins run from July 12 to July 28.
On any given day, there's always something to do at the fair, so here's what to expect for Saturday, July 13.
Hours of operation
10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
For your belly
- 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. — California State Fair and Food Festival has a pass that gives out four tickets for $28 that can be redeemed at a vendor that is a part of the food festival. A food item costs around $10 without a ticket.
- 10 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. — Bondolio Olive Oil (California Extra Virgin Olive Oil Sampling Booth)
- 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. — Cooking Demonstration with Chef Nicholas Wilson (Save Mart California's Kitchen - Cooking Theater)
- 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. — Make the Most Out of Your Next Tasting (Taste of California classroom)
For the kids
- 11 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. — Children's Breyer Barn (Horse Arena)
- 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. — Sinag-tala Filipino Theater & Performing Arts Association (Promenade Stage)
- 12:30 p.m to 1 p.m. — Free Horse Ride Program (Horse Arena)
- 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. — Rabbit Demonstration (Small Animals - Expo Building 6)
- 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. — Classic Carousel Breed Parade (Horse Arena)

- 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. — Gaby Castro (Farm to Glass)
