SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California State Fair announced a performer for the opening weekend of its concert series Wednesday.
Wilson Phillips, known for two #1 singles in 1990 including "Hold On" and "Release Me," will perform at Cal Expo. The pop vocal group includes Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson, and Chynna Phillips who will perform on Saturday, July 13 at 8 p.m.
"We are beyond excited to welcome one of the biggest-selling female groups ever, Wilson Phillips to our stage,” Tom Martinez, CEO of California State Fair and Cal Expo said in a statement. Their incredible harmonies and storied musical backgrounds are sure to deliver an unforgettable show. It’s an honor to host such talented artists who have played a significant role in shaping pop music."
While these concerts are free with general admission to the fair, space is first come, first served. Reserved seats are also available for purchase starting at $25.
