What's coming to Folsom's Harris Center around the holidays?

Guests can expect a myriad of plays, concerts and more.

FOLSOM, Calif. — The Harris Center, a performing arts venue in Folsom, is hosting a variety of events around late 2023 and early 2024. The events include plays, concerts and more.

Here are some events you can look forward to as we get ready to head into the new year.

TWENTY THOUSAND LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA

The Falcon's Eye company, a production arm of Folsom Lake College's theater department, will show "20,000 Leagues Under the Seas" each day from Thursday, Nov. 16, to Sunday, Nov. 19. 

The shows Thursday through Saturday start at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday show starts at 2 p.m.

CINDERELLA

The World Ballet Series, an organization touring live ballet performances on stages nationwide, will bring "Cinderella" to Folsom for one day only.

People can purchase tickets for Saturday, Nov. 18, at either 2 p.m. or 6 p.m.

THE BEATLES (THE WHITE ALBUM) 55TH ANNIVERSARY

The Beatles' Guitar Project Rock Orchestra, put on by Sacramento Preparatory Music Academy, will celebrate the The Beatles' self-titled album released in 1968.

Professional musicians in the greater Sacramento region will perform the entire album for one night only Tuesday, Nov. 21, to commemorate its 55th anniversary.

Ticket prices range from $19-47.

TRIBUTE CONCERT EXPERIENCES

"Bee Gees Gold," a Bee Gees tribute performance that most often performs in Las Vegas, will show at the Harris Center for one night only Saturday, Nov. 25. Tickets range from $61-76.

In the Harris Center's "3 Queens of Motown" Sunday, Nov. 26, performers will don the likenesses of Diana Ross, Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin for "a night of R&B, rock and soul," according to event center's website. Tickets start at $44 go up to $72 for premium seating.

"Zeppelin Live!" a national touring Led Zeppelin tribute show will happen Friday, Jan. 5, 2024. All seats cost $59 and can be viewed here.

THE NUTCRACKER

"The Nutcracker" will show in three different forms.

There will be a dance by the Sugar Plum Fairy during a sold-out pancake breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2.

The FLC Dance and Music Department will present the "Nutcracker Reimagined!" blending the show with "steampunk innovation," according to the event center's website. It happens Thursday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. For ticket information, click here.

"The Nutcracker" in its classic ballet format will run at the Harris Center from Thursday, Dec. 14, to Sunday, Dec. 17. It will be presented by the Pamela Hayes Classical Ballet company based in El Dorado Hills. Tickets and showtimes can be viewed here.

MASTERS OF ILLUSION

Masters of Illusion, a modern magic show featuring award-winning musicians, will perform for one night only Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024.

The live show has reached tens of thousands of people across the U.S. through the last six years of live performances, according to the Harris Center website.

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR

A part of its 2023-2024 Broadway series, the Harris Center hosts the "Jesus Christ Superstar" 50th anniversary tour from Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, to Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024.

The Tony Award-nominated musical written by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber originally opened on Broadway in 1971.

JOHNNY CASH | THE OFFICIAL CONCERT EXPERIENCE

Johnny Cash, the "Man in Black" known for performing twice live in Folsom State Prison, will be celebrated at the Harris Center in Jan. 2024.

Video of Cash from episodes of "The Johnny Cash Show" will project on a screen above the stage while a live band and singers accompany his performance.

There are two shows: Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, and Friday, Jan. 19, 2024.
