Smoothie to boost your immune system | Meg Unprocessed

Megan Evans of "Meg Unprocessed" shares a tasty way to keep our immune systems boosted!

Cold and Flu season is still hitting Americans hard. Besides washing your hands and keeping things sanitized - you can also stay healthy with what you eat.  

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 cup almond milk 
  • 1 handful kale (stems removed) 
  • 1 cup frozen wild blueberries (regular blueberries also!) 
  • 3 dates (pitted) 
  • 1 tbsp flaxseeds 
  • 1/4-1/2 inch piece ginger root 

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • Add all of the ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy.

Tip: If it's too thick, add more liquid. Make sure to taste before serving and adjust some of the ingredients to your taste. You can also add a few ice cubes at the end to make it colder.
