SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The holiday season is here, and once again weather, traffic and travel are the stories beating out Black Friday. Deals are great, but staying out of traffic is better!
More than seven million Californians are traveling this year, according to AAA, and most of those travelers are driving. If you're heading to the Bay Area, try to stay off the roads on Wednesday between 2 and 4 p.m. That's when AAA expects the worst traffic.
For all of you in Southern California, you'll want to avoid driving on Wednesday between 5 and 7 p.m. That isn't a surprise, considering how busy Interstate 5 and Highway 101 are on a typical day during those times!

TSA TRAVEL TIPS:
The TSA shared this list of the top 10 travel tips for fliers this Thanksgiving. We're thinking we'll keep these in mind for just about any time we fly, but here's the top five to remember:
- Get to the airport early - The golden rule of flying! Two hours early is recommended for a domestic flight.
- Know which foods can go in your carry-on (solid foods like pies, cakes and casseroles).
- Know which foods to put in your checked bag. If it can spill, spray, spread, pump or pour, put it in your checked back (and be sure it won't spill).
- Wear slip-on shoes so you can quickly go through security
- Place your electric carving knife in your checked bag. If you're going to someone else's house for the bird...we're hoping you leave this one at home.
- Pack smart and ask questions by calling or tweeting TSA.
