A woman claims video showed a bear chasing her as she was snowboarding.

A woman who recorded video of herself snowboarding in Japan was oblivious to what was chasing her – until she watched the replay.

Video posted on YouTube by Kelly Murphy purportedly shows her being chased by a black bear as she was boarding at Hakuba 47 Winter Sports Park near Nagano, Japan, Saturday.

The camera was pointed back toward Murphy, so she was unaware of the large bear running after her.

“OMG! I was going through my snowboarding videos and I found a bear chasing me!!! I nearly got eaten!!!” Murphy wrote in the video description. Murphy added her own soundtrack by singing Rihanna's "Work."

Now the question people across the Internet will ask -- was this real or faked? Watch for yourself and decide. But know that bear sightings in the area are not unusual.

Still, caution must be paid to anything that looks too good to be true on the Internet. Remember the wolf seen roaming the halls at the 2014 Olympic Village in Russia? That turned out to be a prank put on by late night host Jimmy Kimmel and Olympian Kate Hansen.
