RIVERBANK, Calif — Several kittens were rescued from a fire in Riverbank Thursday afternoon.
According to the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire District, crews responded to a fire on 8th Street in Riverbank.
Crews arrived to find a bedroom that was on fire, went inside and found several small kittens and two cats that they rescued from the blaze.
Crews treated all the cats and kittens with special oxygen masks, and they were ultimately returned to their owners alive and well.
