POLLOCK PINES, Calif. — A marmot appears to have hitchhiked its way from Yosemite to Pollock Pines.
The El Dorado County Fire Protection District said they helped a local woman get the marmot out of her car.
Officials said the woman had recently visited Yosemite and was shocked to find the marmot hiding in the engine compartment.
Crews ultimately helped get the marmot out so the California Department of Fish and Wildlife could help it get back home.
