ROSEVILLE, Calif. — With the holidays around the corner, Roseville's 58-year tradition is not far behind. Roseville's local holiday parade will be making the rounds once again this year.
58 years ago, the Sylvia Besana Holiday Parade started off with just a few horses and small carts, but, 58 years later, the parade has grown to include about 50 carts.
It's name at the beginning was pretty simple. It was "The Holiday Parade," but it was eventually renamed after Sylvia Besana, a Roseville High School vice principal, said Parade Director Stephanie Hill.
The parade will host a visit from Santa Claus, as he comes to town in the Deniro's Farmers Market antique engine. The Roseville High School marching band will also be a highlight of the parade.
You'll also be able to dine while you watch the parade. Restaurants in the area will be open, and there'll also be a vendors where guests can buy donuts or some handmade items for some early holiday shopping.
