Disclaimer: if you don’t have a vehicle, you can skip this. But if you do a lot of driving, this is definitely necessary.
Most states, including California, require at least liability insurance, which means if you're at fault in an accident, it'll help you pay for the accident. Cars can be expensive to repair and auto insurance will help. As with other forms of insurance, there are many variables, so do your research and get the auto insurance that's right for you.
