SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Zelda’s, a longtime pizzeria in Midtown Sacramento, closed for good Saturday night.
Known for its Chicago-style deep dish, Zelda’s has operated for more than 45 years.
The restaurant announced the decision to close on its Facebook page.
“After decades of serving Sacramento, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors. We are forever grateful for each and every person who walked through our door and supported us through every up and down. We are incredibly proud of what Zelda created and the legacy that continued after her. With that said, tonight, August 31st, is the last chance to grab a Chicago style pizza in Sacramento, come see us, 4pm-9pm, TO GO ONLY. With all our love, Zeldas”
Zelda’s stopped in-person dining earlier this month, offering to-go orders only in an attempt to stay in business.
Zelda’s is located at 1415 21 St. It was open Saturday from 4-9 p.m.
