ABC10's Bianca Graulau

Bianca Graulau joined the ABC10 team in September 2014. It is her second job in Sacramento but her first job in English-language news. She comes from KUVS Univision 19 where she worked as a reporter for a year. In June she won her first Emmy for a feature story on homelessness.

Bianca was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She attended high school in Hatillo, Puerto Rico where she developed an interest in journalism. Bianca double majored in broadcast journalism and political science at Syracuse University.

During her college years, she was part of CitrusTV Noticias as a reporter, anchor and executive producer. She also is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and she completed internships at Telemundo and YNN in Syracuse.

Shortly before her graduation, Univision in Palm Springs offered her a job as a reporter/multimedia journalist. There she gained experience shooting and editing video as well as writing and anchoring. She has covered several stories of national interest, including border crossings by unaccompanied minors from Central America, President Barack Obama's visit to Fresno and wildfires.

When she is not watching or reading the news, Bianca is working out, or dancing salsa, bachata or merengue. Her favorite place is any beach, preferably in the Caribbean.

You can follow Bianca on Twitter @bgraulau, like her Facebook page at Bianca Graulau, or email her with story ideas. She would love to hear from you!
