Every July 11, 7-Eleven celebrates 7-Eleven day!
This year is a special celebration, as it will also mark the 50th anniversary of the Slurpee. 7-Eleven wants to invite everyone to celebrate with them with a free small Slurpee.
Participating locations will be giving out the free frozen drinks from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m. Monday, July 11, while supplies last.
The party wont stop there! For the entire week the company will celebrate Slurpee Week!
During Slurpee Week, customers who purchase seven Slurpees will be rewarded with 11 free Slurpee drinks. The free Slurpees must be redeemed before Aug. 31, 2016.
Customers must scan the 7-Eleven app at the time of purchase of each of the seven Slurpees. The app is free and available for both Android and Apple devices.
"Every year, 7-Eleven Day gives us an opportunity to have some fun, say thank you to our customers and celebrate our birthday Slurpee style," said Laura Gordon, 7-Eleven vice president of marketing and brand innovation." This year is a big birthday for Slurpee, and a big year. One day, even one week, isn't enough so we began celebrating in January and plan to keep it up until the end of the year."
7-Eleven will also be releasing Slurpee branded items such as beach towels, socks, beverage holders, T-shirts, and Slurpee party packs, with selfie-sticks.
Slurpee flavored items such as donuts, lollipops, cotton candy, marshmallow pops, candy straws, and Pop-Tarts will also be available.
