'Keep putting in the work': Meet two of the top youth basketball players in California

Noah Taylor and Josiah "JoJo" Price are two of the three U-11 basketball players taking the nation by storm as they bring team Paul George Elite to the top.

GRANITE BAY, Calif. — Noah Taylor and Josiah "JoJo" Price are two of the top U-11 basketball players in the United States. The two consistently earn an average of more than 60 points per game, making them some of the highest scoring in their age bracket.

ABC10's Mark S. Allen made the drive over to Granite Bay to meet with the two and learn a bit about their game.

HERE ARE 3 THINGS TO KNOW:

  1. Taylor and Price, as well as their friend King Tari, play for Paul George Elite. The three boys have gained national attention after bringing Paul George Elite to the top ranks with their skills and scoring.

Paul George Elite will soon go again Team Durant, a U-11 team lead by Kevin Durant. Taylor says the pressure is high.

"You don't want to mess up, especially if you put in so much work," Taylor said. "It's also more pressure because you are the number one team."

  2. Recently, the three boys were featured in a Skechers-brand shoe commercial, showcasing their skills on the court.

"It was really cool. We were at first nervous because we never did that before," said Taylor.

Taylor's father, Sacramento-based filmmaker Deon Taylor, was the one to film the commercial. He is best known for works such as "Meet the Blacks" and its sequel "The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2," "Fatale," and "The First Step."

"He kind of filmed it a little bit," said Taylor about his father. "Made sure everybody was shooting the right spots in the rights spots."

  3. Taylor and Price both have advice in basketball and in life for youth their age and even younger.

"Keep putting in the work," said Price.

"If you put your mind to something and you are working really hard on it, just don't give up on it because if you do, you are probably going to regret it later," added Taylor.
