SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Neil Nayyar is a musician from Elk Grove who is possibly best known for his ability to play more than 107 different instruments. Now, Nayyar is putting those skills to work on his debut album, "Breaking Barriers."
ABC10's Mark S. Allen crashed in on Nayyar's music video shoot at Imported Studios to learn more about the album.
HERE ARE 3 THINGS TO KNOW:
- "Breaking Barriers" is a mixture of genres explored throughout the album and Nayyar's own feelings on music and the community it can bring.
"The title of the album is called 'Breaking Barriers' and it has all genres of music," Nayyar told Mark. "The reason it is called 'Breaking Barriers' is because I'm trying to break the barriers of the language. Even though we cannot connect with each culture in a language, we can connect their culture through music." - Nayyar isn't only passionate about music. According to his own website, he has a deep love for painting and has worked on over 100 oil and watercolor paintings. Meanwhile, his IMDb page states that he has achieved a black belt in Kung Fu.
- Nayyar has written a book on his experience learning and mastering a variety of instruments. "Passion to Exploration of 107 Sound Machines" details Nayyar's musical journey, beginning at the age of five.
