WOODLAND, Calif. — One Woodland business is out of more than $10,000 after burglars stole merchandise from their window early Thursday morning.

Woodland police say Soul Garden Holistic Healing on Main Street in downtown Woodland had its windows shattered and merchandise stolen.

“I just cannot believe how fast it happened and how much they took in that short amount of time,” said Corrie Taylor, owner of Soul Garden Holistic Healing.

Taylor, passionate for holistic well-being, says burglars used concrete blocks to smash in both windows and stole thousands of crystals and stones from the front display within seconds.

“They actually did not get in the shop, but they could reach through the windows and grab all the products from within there,” said Taylor. “They stole crystals. They stole Buddha statues made out of shunga and different stones. They stole large specimens.”

She says the burglars took more than $10,000 worth of merchandise from the store.

“This is affecting a lot of people,” said Taylor. “I have a lot of small businesses within my own store that I do support.”

Taylor says her cameras were not pointed towards the street. But says two men may be behind the burglary and hopes they bring back what they stole.

“We all have hard times, and we do crazy things when we are pushed into corners of needing money,” said Taylor. “I really hope that they think about what they do in their life and the choices they make, because it really does not just affect them. It is a ripple effect, and it affects a lot of people.”

Woodland police say they are gathering surveillance video of the area. No suspect information has been released. Anyone with information about this case is encouraged by officials to contact the police at 530-666-2411.
