14 suspects arrested in Stanislaus County online underage chatting operation, law enforcement says

Detectives posed as minors ranging from ages 13 to 15 years old on various social media and dating platforms.

STANISLAUS COUNTY, Calif. — The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office says 14 men were arrested for various child-related sex crimes following an online underage chatting operation.

The operation was called Operation “Safe House” and happened from Aug. 2nd to 3rd.

"Detectives posed as minors ranging from ages 13 – 15 years old on various social media and dating platforms," law enforcement wrote in a Facebook post. "Detectives were ultimately contacted and then solicited for various illicit acts by the soon-to-be suspects."

Law enforcement says a meeting location was established and the suspects were taken into custody upon their arrival and were later booked into the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Public Safety Center.

"Suspects were found to be residents of Modesto, Ceres, Salida, Lodi, Lathrop, Atwater, and as far away as Sacramento and Chowchilla," law enforcement says.
