LODI, Calif. — A 15-year-old was accused of making threats of violence toward a school, Lodi Police Department said.
According to Lodi Police Department, police investigated several threats against schools Monday morning and ultimately arrested the 15-year-old for alleged violent threats toward a "local school." It's not clear what school, but the Lodi Unified School District said the teen did not make threats toward one of their district's schools.
The teen was booked into juvenile hall and a search warrant was issued at his home.
No other details have been released, but police did say the suspect was not enrolled in the Lodi Unified School District.
"We treat such threats with extreme importance, as there is no tolerance for violence or threats within our educational environments," police said on Facebook.
Police said they've put in enhanced security measures and have also increased patrols at schools.
