19-year-old man shot, killed in Stockton

The 19-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen late Saturday night. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital early Sunday morning.

STOCKTON, Calif. — A 19-year-old man died after a shooting in a Stockton neighborhood, Saturday night.

Stockton police were called out to a report of a man being shot in the abdomen in the 1600 block of Paloma Avenue around 10:40 p.m.

Officers arrived and found the man critically wounded. The victim, who has not yet been identified, succumbed to his injuries Sunday morning. If you have any information about this case, you are asked to call Stockton Crime Stoppers at 209-946-0600. Callers can remain anonymous.

This was the 27th homicide investigated by the Stockton Police Department in 2019, so far. 

Between Stockton Police, California Highway Patrol and San Joaquin County Sherriff's Office, law enforcement has investigated 31 murders in the City of Stockton.
