STOCKTON, Calif. — Two Stockton men were arrested in connection to 18 armed robberies, according to the Stockton Police Department.
Police say detectives have been investigating a "series of armed robberies of businesses throughout Stockton" over the past month. A follow up investigation led detectives to arresting Edward Smith, 30, and Jelani Daniel-Dawson, 29, Thursday.
Search warrants were issued in the 8100 block of Mariners Drive and the 1700 block of Willow Park Way before the arrests. It's unclear what police found, if anything, in the homes, but they say the men were arrested on suspicion of robbery and weapons charges.
Both men were booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing and no other details are available at this time.
