2 teens arrested in connection with deadly Old North Sacramento shooting

Both minors were arrested on suspicion of robbery and murder.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Two teenagers were arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in Old North Sacramento, police said Wednesday night.

The shooting happened along the 400 block of Arden Way on June 23.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office confirmed the victim as 51-year-old Charles Edward Blanks.

Both minors, a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and murder charges. A police spokesperson said there's probable cause that a robbery happened at the time of the deadly shooting.
