STOCKTON, Calif. — Two teenagers were hurt in a Monday afternoon shooting in Stockton.
A spokesperson for the Stockton Police Department says officers responded to a reported shooting in the area of Manthey Road and Carolyn Weston Boulevard around 2 p.m.
Upon arrival officers found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
Police then learned about the other shooting victim, a 16-year-old boy. Police say he took himself to a hospital after being shot in the same area. His injuries are non-life-threatening.
According to police, two cars drove up to the teenagers and shot at them before taking off. The cars were described as a white sedan and black SUV.
No additional information about suspects or a motive is available.
