STOCKTON, Calif. — Stockton police have made arrests in what they call an attempted murder and robbery at a Stockton grocery store.
On December 23, 6 suspects were involved in a robbery and attempted murder at the Amigo Market on the 2100 block of South San Joaquin Street. The incident took place around 9:55 p.m.
The six suspects entered the market, demanded money from the register, and attacked the clerk, even striking him with a glass bottle while others continued to hit him.
As they left the scene, one suspect allegedly said "Just kill'em" and another suspect pulled out a handgun and fired several times at the victim. Police say the victim was not hit by the gun fire.
While the suspects fled, they shot at another person who was walking into the store.
Investigative teams were able to identify and apprehend 5 of the six suspects. Authorities were then able to serve three search warrants and find several rounds of ammunition, a pump action shot gun, and narcotics for sale.
22 year old Joel Barraza, 18 year old Hector Barraza, and 19 year old Luis Vivero were taken into custody and booked on alleged robbery and attempted murder charges.
A 14 year old juvenile was also taken into custody and booked on alleged robbery and attempted murder charges. Another 14 year old juvenile is still outstanding and has a warrant for his arrest.
